The Last of Us Part II has officially gone gold.
Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann has confirmed that the upcoming The Last of Us Part II has gone gold. This was confirmed in a Tweet on Druckmann’s Twitter account, which was reposted by the development studio itself.

It has been a long road leading up until this moment, but The Last of Us Part II isn’t far away. The game has seen its fair share of difficulties with much of it recently being leaked online. Fans expressed concern over the game’s release date being delayed as spoilers were posted everywhere. In response to this, Naughty Dog issued a statement telling fans not to worry.
The Last of Us Part II was originally supposed to launch on May 29 but has been pushed back to June 19. With the COVID-19 pandemic, the team had no choice but to delay the game with social distancing rules being enforced. The game, however, is finally finished and it is just over a month away.

The Last of Us Part II was teased back at the PlayStation Experience in 2016. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of Ellie and Joel for a long time. If you’re actively using social media, it might be best to stay away with anything related to the game. The Last of Us Part II launches on June 19.
